Script to Page Comparisons

I'm a plotter and writer, which means I handle the story development and script writing aspects. Then I hire an artist I find fits the script and manage their artwork starting with pencils and then inks once I’m satisfied. If I want, I hire a colorist. The final part is finding the right letterer to make the word balloons and captions. Here some examples of script pages turned into finished art.

When writing a script without dialogue, panel descriptions need to be precise so the artist can draw a picture that can convey story visually alone through sequential insets like in panel 2 and body language. But you don't want to be too precise, you want the artist to be able to work the style and skills they're comfortable with.

The blue underlined names mean they have an image linked to them. This is typically for reference when something is too complex to communicate with words.

This was a collab done for a subreddit. Low page count stories can be a challenge because you only have so much space to tell that story.
